ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ: ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਨਾਜਾਇਜ਼ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕਾਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ 8 ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 15 ਨਾਜਾਇਜ਼ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ ਅਤੇ 15 ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਹੁਣ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ’ਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਥਿਤ ਸੰਬੰਧ
ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਏ ਹਨ।ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਮੰਗਵਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਅਨਸਰਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਜਾਂਚ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
In a major breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police dismantles three illegal arms supply networks, apprehends 8 accused and recovers 15 illegal pistols, 15 live cartridges.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were allegedly linked to foreign-based arms smugglers and were procuring illegal weapons for further distribution to criminal elements. Investigation has also revealed links of the accused with other associates involved in the illegal arms supply network.
Separate FIRs have been registered at PS Cantonment, PS Islamabad & PS Chheharta, Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to uncover the complete backward and forward linkages and identify other persons involved.

ਮਾਮਲੇ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਕੈਂਟ, ਇਸਲਾਮਾਬਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਛੇਹਰਟਾ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਐਫਆਈਆਰ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਾਜਾਇਜ਼ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਮੰਗਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਕਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਗੌਰਵ ਯਾਦਵ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨਾਜਾਇਜ਼ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗਠਿਤ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕਾਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਲਾਸੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ।
